Policy

Welcome to the Acacia Valley HOA‘s policy library. Policies are promulgated by the board of directors in accordance with the organization’s strategic objectives and the strategic digest, namely:

🏡 Acacia Valley HOA is a low-touch HOA that values inclusion, tolerance, and transparency. We pursue moderated growth in furtherance of our strategic objectives.

Our policies are documented in the pages linked below.

Please note that some of these pages contain placeholder text, which represent policies that were documented in our previous, offline content management solution but have not yet been migrated to the wiki. HOA members can assist in the migration process by contributing to the wiki; contact the webmaster to activate your wiki account.

Types of policies

🟩 This page documents an HOA binding policy. Binding policies are rules that members of the HOA must follow in order to obtain and maintain membership status. See Policies for a directory of all HOA policies.

Pages for HOA recommendations contain the following header instead:

🟨 This page documents an HOA recommendation. While recommendations are part of the HOA‘s policy library, they are not firm rules, but rather “compass directions” agreed to by the board to promote community spirit in furtherance of the organization’s strategic objectives. Member adherence to HOA recommendations is neither monitored nor enforced. See Policies for a directory of all HOA policies.
